handmade save the date

One of my favourite wedding planning activities was making our save-the-date video.

My hubby and I knew right from the start we would have a slightly oriental themed wedding - what can I say, I'm fairly obsessed with all things Japanese, and making a video allowed us to be creative and have a laugh without spending any money.

It was so much fun - and I would completely recommend this approach to anyone who is looking for an alternative to the standard card in the post.

Make sure you turn the music up loud to get the full experience. Enjoy!

    1. Thanks Mary :) Our friends and family loved it too, and the best thing is that it didn't cost us anything more than a few hours of our time.

  2. Cute idea to make the Save the Date a video! I take it you are having a destination wedding, so it seems like that works out well! :)

    1. Hi Saxon - that's right. My hubby and I are from NZ but we live in London. Over half the people that attended our wedding don't live in New Zealand (UK, Australia, Japan, Canada, US) so it was important to send out the date as early as possible so they could plan holidays and flights. It really did work well!
