it's a park life

This weekend we've been pretty lazy.... after waking up rather late on Saturday (I'm too embarrassed to share what time) we went for a lovely stroll in the park. Hyde Park, my favourite place in London.

And did a little bird spotting as usual - the Mandarin ducks are back again this Spring, and quite easy to find if you'd like to go on a bird hunt. They tend to nest in the water area just opposite the Peter Pan statue, about 5-10 minutes walk from Lancaster Gate.

Then just 'because' we decided to go out a afternoon feast, and headed to L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon - a two Michelin star restaurant in the heart of London.

Needless to say, food was great. I had the three-course menu with wine pairing. The two boys I was with had four courses. Greedy!

My dessert - L’ARABICA, crème glacée et chantilly légère au café
(gianduja chocolate cream served with chantilly and coffee ice cream).
With gold!!!

Then back to the park with a bottle of Prosecco, and a bag of beers. And sunshine....
