your wedding - how to 'relive the moments'Friday, September 06, 2013
Last weekend I went to my first wedding since hubby and I tied the knot six months ago. Six months!! (Little skip and jump for joy.)
It was a great day - London put on a show with clear blue skies, the wine, bubbles and rose lemonade were 'to die for' (helps when the bride works for a wine distributor) and I made sure to soak up all the small details - as I now know how much time and effort goes into planning these things.
But what made the day that extra little bit special for me was re-wearing a memento from my own wedding - my rene walrus headband. When I chose it, I had two objectives:
- it had to complement my wedding dress
- and needed to be something I could re-wear at other special occasions in the future.
My headband was a bit of a find too. While on Holiday in Edinburgh last year I stumbled upon the rene walrus boutique and fell in love with the handmade accessories. Several months later, once I'd picked my wedding dress and was able to confirm the design I wanted, Janet from rene walrus was lovely enough to attach it to a headband that matched my hair colour...
... and this is how it looked...
Happy memories everyone!
