photo Friday - spring has arrived in London!

Friday, February 28, 2014

Hubby and I are currently flat hunting in London. This is part of our pact to make more of the city, find a nicer place to spend our down time and get over our current 'London is temporary' mindset. Last Saturday we spent the whole day walking the streets, checking commute times to both our work places respectively and viewing some pretty average apartments to be honest. Flat hunting in London is a pretty painful task.

To cheer ourselves up we had a late afternoon brunch, which was delicious (more about that tomorrow). And I spotted this beautiful cherry blossom tree in full bloom. Yes! Spring has arrived in London!

Cherry Blossom Tree in London - Spring is coming

I can only hope that this gorgeous tree is a sign of a great spring and summer to come. And that sometime soon we will find our home for the next two years.

    1. Hi Kiki - me too. I think this Spring should be really good too based on all the rain and sunshine we've been getting. Fingers crossed for more beautiful cherry blossoms.

The tree is so pretty. It is so fun to start seeing signs of spring. I hope that the cherry blossoms are still in bloom when I go to Japan in April!

  7. I have given up flat hunting in London, I think I would rather commute and live somewhere massive, ha ha. Those cherry blossoms look beautiful - reminds me to take a photo of the ones near me. Fingers crossed for you! Hope you find a home :) x

    1. You definitely have to make compromises living in London. For me I would prefer to pay more and live local than deal with a commute every day, but that's my personal preference. Lucky hubby and I are on the same wave length on this one :)

  8. House hunting is one of the first tasks that one needs to accomplish when they live in a foreign land. It can be daunting, but it can also be fun, especially if you finally find the perfect home for you. And speaking of which, have you found one already?
