photo Friday - spring has blossomed in Hyde ParkFriday, March 14, 2014
London has been very generous over the last two weeks and treated us to lots of lovely sunny days. For anyone who’s never visited this awesome city it’s worth pointing out that we don’t get that much sunshine in general. Most mornings and days the outlook is pretty grey.
But – on those days when the sun does make an appearance ‘us Londoner’s’ really make the most of it! Summer dresses come out (even if the temperature is still only about 15 degrees Celsius), convertibles appear in the streets (tops down), and people tend to shed most their clothes in the city’s parks (yes swim suits are acceptable wear) to try and lap up some of the rays they’ve been craving for months.
Last Sunday was no exception – it was a gorgeous sunny day and the whole of London was determined to enjoy it. I spent most of my day relaxing in Hyde Park, my home away from home, and taking pics of the beautiful spring flowers that are in full bloom.
Captured here is a plot of gorgeous daffodils. Amazing!
Happy Friday everyone.
