photo Friday - the lovely world of Beatrix PotterFriday, June 06, 2014
“Once upon a time there were four little Rabbits, and their names were - Flopsy, Mopsy, Cottontail, and Peter. ”
Last week I gave you a quick snapshot of Mr McGregor's Garden after hanging out with Peter Rabbit in the beautiful Lake District. You all seemed pretty impressed - or maybe you were just reminded of your childhood?
Either way I thought I would share just a few more snaps today from my visit to The World of Beatrix Potter. If you do happen to get a chance to explore this part of the world I would thoroughly recommend it. The landscape in the Lake District is just breathtaking and I felt like I had walked into a painting or postcard for a lot of the time. A great spot for a long weekend away.
When you visit The World of Beatrix Potter you are treated to a video about her life and lots and lots of beautiful scenes made up from her very popular books. My favourite part though was of course Mr McGregor's garden...
little wooden gate that Peter Rabbit and his brothers used to scurry through...
Peter Rabbit's blue jacket - looks like he might have lost it!
there's a few other friendly characters in Mr Mcgregors garden too :)
“I am sorry to say that Peter was not very well during the evening.
His mother put him to bed, and made some camomile tea; and she gave a dose of it to Peter!
'One table-spoonful to be taken at bed-time.'
But Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cotton-tail had bread and milk and blackberries for supper.”
