2015 blogging goalsSunday, January 04, 2015
Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all sung in the new year with the people you love in a fabulous setting of your choice.
I have just landed back in grey, cold London after two very enjoyable weeks in Turkey. As well as seeing the sights, sampling my weight in food and taking about a million photos I did manage to find some quiet time to reflect on the year past. 2014 was a rocky year in some respects for me, particularly at work so I'm looking forward to some welcome changes in 2015 (including a new Aussie boss!).
Last year my 2014 blogging goals were to be more consistent, blog regularly and focus on trying to enjoy living in London. 2014 saw me move house, explore some new areas in London and continue to travel and share most of my adventures here three times a week. Not to forget my November A-Z travel challenge! My little blog has now grown to 200 followers, a number that excites me so much. For those of you that read here regularly - thank you!!! I love getting your feedback and comments so please keep them coming.
My 2015 blogging goals...
- Introduce video to my travel posts. This year I want to share what it's really like to be at the places I travel to, and I can think of no better way to do this than through video. Call it 'vlogging armchair travel' if you will. This will be a little experimental at first until I find my groove, but I'm confident video will enrich my travel memories and blog posts.
- Make my posts more useful. That's right. This year my travel post will include top tips, favourite places and ideas to help you plan your own adventures rather than a step-by-step run down of what I've been up to.
- Remember my senses. This links back to goal #1 - as I travel I'll be taking notes on what I see, smell, hear, touch and taste to capture the atmosphere of wherever I am so I can share it with you.
